One Guy. One Van. One-Way Ticket to Anywhere Warm in Winter.

I’m Timothy. I live in my van during the U.S. travel season, and when winter hits, I disappear to somewhere cheap and sunny. Here you’ll find the unfiltered truth about van life, budget travel abroad, and the gear that actually works.

Meet Timothy

Van life isn’t always Instagram sunsets and perfect coffee. Sometimes it’s parking behind a Walmart and boiling noodles on a camp stove. I’ve been living this way long enough to know what works, what’s a waste of money, and how to stretch a travel budget so far it starts begging for mercy.

I spend half the year roaming the U.S. in my self-built van, and when the cold creeps in, I pack a backpack and head overseas — usually somewhere warm, affordable, and full of questionable street food.

Gear of the Month

I’ve dragged this thing through airports, crammed it into overhead bins, and dropped it in a puddle in Cambodia. Still works.
