Van Life with Timothy

Van life is not a vacation. It is a lifestyle. It is learning to cook in a parking lot, finding a shower when you have not had one in four days, and figuring out where to park without getting a knock on the window at two in the morning. It is also freedom. It is waking up to a sunrise over the mountains, eating lunch by the ocean, and moving on when you feel like it. I have been doing this long enough to know the difference between the fantasy and the reality, and I am here to share both.

Getting Started

If you want to live in a van you need more than a vehicle and a dream. You need to plan for power, water, storage, and how you will keep warm or cool. I explain what works, what is a waste of money, and the small upgrades that make the biggest difference.

Life on the Road

Van life is not about constant driving. It is about finding a rhythm that works for you. I share how to mix travel days with rest days, where to find safe overnight spots, and how to balance work and travel if you are earning while on the road.

Gear I Trust

From solar panels to portable stoves to folding chairs that can survive the wind, I only use and recommend gear that lasts. If it fails me it is gone. Check my Tim Recommends section for detailed reviews.

Staying Connected

Wi Fi is the lifeline for many van lifers. I share the tools I use to stay online, from mobile hotspots to signal boosters, so you can work, stream, or check in with friends and family no matter where you park.

The Real Costs

I track what I spend on fuel, food, repairs, and campsites. This section breaks it down so you know what to expect and where you can save money.
